Biography

Philosophy: 

If it is to be, it is up to me.  Just because I am struggling that doesn't mean that I am failing.  It's a must to keep pushing and pressing.

Education:

I am a 1989 graduate of Taylor County High School in Butler, GA.   I received a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Middle Grades Education from Fort Valley State University in 1994 and 1997, respectively.

Personal:

I grew up in a little town across the river with one traffic light known as Reynolds, GA.  It is funny that I now live and work in the county that is my hometown's biggest rival.  Currently, I am teaching all subject areas in 5th grade.   Presently, I am serving as grade level chair. I have been teaching at the elementary level in Crawford for 27 years.  I am very passionate about education and enjoy working with children.  I believe that all children can learn if given the appropriate learning tools.  In my spare time, I enjoy reading, singing, attending church, and spending time with my family especially my newborn granddaughter, Dawsyn Rose.
