About Us » Principal

Welcome to Crawford County Elementary School, home of the Eagles!

My name is Paris Raines, and it is my pleasure to serve as the principal of Crawford County Elementary School.  I am very proud of my long career in education with all of my 26 years serving as a teacher, coach, Assistant Principal, and Principal in the same school system that I graduated from.

I graduated from Crawford County High School in 1986. I received my B.A. in Business Administration in 1991 from Fort Valley State University. I am especially proud of my ROTC participation. I was commissioned as an Army Officer in 1990 and served 8 years in the Army National Guard/Reserves. I received my Master’s degree in Science with a concentration in Middle Grades Education from Fort Valley State University in 1994, and I received an Educational Specialist Degree in Leadership from Troy State University in 2006.

I am married and have one child.  In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and attending all types of athletic events.

Attendance Matters

CCES is focusing on student attendance. Did you know that students who are chronically absent are significantly behind their peers on test scores and other measures?

This is a major concern. To combat this issue, CCES recognizes students who have perfect attendance monthly.

Please encourage your child to be at school every day, all day!
