This is my first year as the lead gifted teacher for grades K-5. My handsome husband is Johnny Rogers. We have three beautiful and smart children, Leighanna, JohnDavid, and MacKenzie. We welcomed our first grandchild, Adilyn-Rae in May of 2017 and our second, Hylan-Gray, July of this year. I am a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Warner Robins, GA. For fun, I love to ride with my husband on his motorcycle and tour the quiet back roads, work on fun school ideas, go on cruises, take Adi on ADI-ventures, and take naps. Educational Philosophy:
I have the knowledge to empower, the heart to care, and the courage to make a difference!

My sister Faith was a special needs child and passed away at the age of eleven. I was only nine. I promised to live my life for both of us. Here is the poem I wrote in her memory that guides my path.
Her world had no sight
Her world had no sound
She did not live life as I,
but had she not lived
I would not know how.
Sometimes tragedy gives us a whole new perspective on our lives and how we should live.

My calling and spiritual gift are to be a teacher!
I have been entrusted to nurture and shape little minds. My classroom is a family and the students that come through my doors will forever have a special place in my heart. I am invested in them and their future. I love to have my students come back to visit and share their successes. In the classroom, learning has to be fun!! Students should feel the energy and excitement of the teacher every day! My goal is to have my students wake up every day excited to come to school and strive to always be better today than they were yesterday.
