Teacher Bio
Educational Philosophy or Motto:
I believe all children have the desire and ability to learn. It takes a team effort to determine how each child learns. I enjoy being part of a team that helps each child become their best! My happiest moments are seeing the "lightbulb" when a child understands a concept they have worked so hard to achieve.
Education:
I began my college career at Ga Southern University, where I completed most of my core curriculum requirements. After exploring other options I decided to study Speech-Language Pathology, so I transferred to Valdosta State University where I earned both my undergraduate and graduate degrees in Speech-Language Pathology.
Professional Experience:
I have been working as a Speech-Language Pathologist with Crawford County Schools since 1998. I began as a part time contract therapist, and later became a full time employee. During the year as a part time therapist, I also worked part time with Lamar County Schools.
Personal:
I live in Macon, GA with my husband and two boys. Our family enjoys traveling, especially to one of my favorite places, Bluffton, SC. I personally enjoy cooking, reading and music.
